Rumdel Construction has secured the contract for the construction of the N4 Nelspruit Northern Ring Road between Croc Valley and Karino. This new road will serve as a bypass from the existing N4 road to Nelspruit and the Karino road.
The Client is Trans African Concessions (Pty) Ltd, and the contract duration will be 21 months.
The work mainly consists of the construction of a new road through orange estates, and will be approximately 7,5 km long, with a double seal surfacing.
The contract includes 3 bridges, of which one spans the Nelspruit - Komatipoort railway line. There are also 4 large culvert structures to construct.
The work further entails some 350 000m3 of earthworks and layerworks, subsoil drains of 12 km, 650m of metal culverts, 1100m of concrete pipe culverts and 155m of rectangular portal culverts. Crushing of aggregates will be carried out on site. |
